With the holiday season looming just around the corner, some of you may be thinking “what do I get the guy who seems to have everything?” Porsche owners seem to have a knack for obtaining the latest and greatest gizmos and gadgets. Well fear not, because I’ve got you covered. Everyone needs a good reliable drill for those little chores around the house, and when a regular drill just won’t do, you can turn to the new Porsche Design Multihammer P’7911 hammer drill. Yes, Porsche Design has teamed up with Metabo to design a very unique power tool that would make any handyman drool. The most notable feature of this drill is that the handle is positioned above the drill, allowing you to use the forearm for leverage instead of just the wrist. I guess this is good news for those with weak wrists. Once you realize that the drill is not upside down, you will notice the aluminum and carbon fiber housing. Very cool. Throw in such features as the “Quick” drill chuck change, Variospeed electronics for continuous speed changing, a pneumatic high performance impact mechanism and the Metabo S-automatic safety clutch to reduce the herky-jerky motions of most other hammer drills and you have one serious power tool. Talk about overkill. All of this and it says “Porsche” on the side. So toss your wimpy little Black and Decker and make room on your workbench for the P’7911, the last hammer drill you will ever need to purchase. And for $645, it better be.
