3rd Annual Spring Car Thing 2008

As I sit here at home on this Saturday morning in December unable to get out of the house because of the sheet of ice covering the streets, I long for warmer days knowing it is going to be a while!  But it reminded me that we had not yet broadcast the fact that our 3rd Annual Spring Car Thing is going to be held this April 5th at ImagineAuto.

If you missed SCT 1 and 2 you will want to mark your calendars for 2008’s event.  What started out as a small gathering of car enthusiasts – Porsche, VW and Audi mainly the first year – has grown into a full-fledged car extravaganza.  Last year’s event brought out Porsche, VW and Audi of course but also Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes, BMW, Mini Cooper, Ford, Dodge, and Chevy.  It was an awesome sight to have all of those cars lined up outside the shop, detailed and primped for show.  What was even more fun were the dyno wars that took place between these different auto manufacturers!  You can imagine the smack talk that went on and the bragging that took place afterwards.  It was a memorable day!

Just like the 1st and 2nd SCT’s, the 3rd Annual will feature the guys from Griot’s Garage and their dynamite detailing clinics – www.griotsgarage.com.  These guys know car detailing and will share all the secrets of their products plus have some discounts that you can only get by attending the show.  We of course will have the concours open to anyone with a car that wants to show it off.  Also a limited amount of dynos will take place over the course of the day and like I mentioned, are a blast to watch.  There is nothing quite like watching a car that is strapped to a machine and revved to its limits all in the name of bragging rights.  I almost forgot to mention the KC barbeque that will be there!  KC is known for that you know and we have the best brought in for the event.

More information will of course follow as we move closer to the event.  If you would like to be added to our guest list and receive show updates, please email me at rkaspar@imagineauto.com and put in the subject line “SCT 2008”.  Just give me your email address and/or your mailing address and we will make sure you don’t miss out.  Here are a few pictures from last year’s show.
